The client wanted a fly-through-style video of its latest luxury development. River Film usually shoots people on location before placing them in the right setting, but project constraints sometimes rule that out.
The film combines live-action footage with a computer-generated environment. The rendering is more modern and stylistically varied than much of River Film’s other work.
The biggest challenge was that the client provided little design information. Beyond height and size parameters, the team designed the villas from scratch.
Designing with little background knowledge is difficult, especially for large overseas clients who need a luxury experience sold to customers through a marketing video.
The project was well received, and the clients were very happy with the CG design of the villas and accommodation.
