The Kensington Building

Kensington, London

Making a real estate marketing film that shifts how audiences see a place is always difficult. River Film tries to do this on every project, and the Kensington Building brought its own challenge.

Working with the developer, the team found the main obstacle in the market was that Kensington is an unusual location for an office building. Prospective tenants were dismissing the offices before they had even seen them.

To change that view, the team focused on the experiences and feelings the area evokes. Although Kensington is a historic London borough, the film argued that it is also a lively place to work.

The project was made with director James Bedford to bring energy to this part of London. River Film describes it as a strong example of its own approach. The film changed prospective tenants’ perceptions and generated buzz about working in Kensington.
